Kapa haka

 On 16 november we had kapa haka Dam! I didn't really like kapa haka I got there a bit late so I through the younger kids were going have a tamako so I would miss out but I didn't so I got it and it felt nice on my face then we went in to the hall and got ready to do kapa haka.

We went to the hall ,we stand quietly while the camera man got the camera ready and sowen systems ready then our teacher told as to be our best then it started we sang our song did our actions and it was fun  I felt nervous but also prouder because we played loud and  it sound loud I was in third row, behind harry we sang then it was over we had picture then we had lunch.

I like kapa haka I looking forwards to next year at my next school.

Ilmister trip

As we march on the bus November 16 our class and room three and four we were heading to ilminster to watch a play with funie songs good actors great plot and costumes that were a crayfish kina and aliens and they play was all in 20-30 minutes long and the play was great but tell you so you can believe it.

We get to Ilminster at noon it was a nice school then we got into the hall and take a seat then John told as what the play was about then it started. These crayfish called mother koura  then her to grandchildren came and sta and then a kina and the mother koura told them a story how she left with her family and left the sea by the city and went to a reserve and then these kids went to the skatepark that was had rubis then that had lolis and drop there rubis on the ground making the skate park more dirty. 

Then these aliens came and dump there rubis with there robot then they dump the robot there then the kids came back and was surprised that what was there then the touch it a got electrocuted then the robot came out explained that his master the aliens dumped him her with all the rubis so the kids told him to contact them so he dose then they come saying 'why did you somen us' the kids said because they need them to clean up but they refuse so they go to mother koura and talk to her about convincing to so stop the aliens from dumping more rubis and to take there rubis back mother koura agre so the robot calls the aliens again and they came back they kids talk to the aliens about the rubis problem but mother koura stands and the aliens take her for there lost queen so they followed her commands and to take there rubis back so they do then the aliens leave  then the kids start to leave but mother koura  talks to kina then kini and mother koura leave then the actor come out and tells some thing about the play then we ask some question then we hop on the bus and leave

I realy like the play it was a 10 out of 10 with funni song dances and good actor.      

This week I learned

 This week I learned more divens on math whizz a really cool site on chrome were you can learned math and math strategy. It was fun learning more divens and more math strategy and I learned more math strategy and i did't even know there was a lot more then nine.    

While I was at a group with Koka pip she  taught us algorithm a really helpful math strategy that really fun to use. First I was not getting it but when it got deeper in the group I started to under stand it now and its  a fun math strategy to do and it's quick and  easy to do had lot a of fun at group and a lot of struggles working it out.              

cross-country

 Today we had the cross-country and I hate cross-country and I was super nervous but I had to go because I buyed two ice cream so yea, I went to it but I was less nerves and after that we got ice cream.

I woke up and I was nervous so I stayed in bed for little while until my mum came got me up so I got drees then got my lunch ready and then brush my teeth but I did't have breakfast. After that I hoped in my mum car and my mum drove me to school in the car my mum gave me support then my mum kiss me goodbye then I hoped out and the bell rang so I ran into class.

Then I sign in and sat down our teacher said we still have cross-country and I was not happy then koka pip said you have two minutes to  go loo and grab  drink bottle. So we hoped in line with our drink bottle and we walk to the cross-country and the year six girl then 2 minutes later and the year six boys went who is me and koka sue went three two one I ran but I got tied but i still jog then we got this bart were lot's of people watch you and I hat that then I got up the hill then went down then ran down this hill up then down again I went down two time then three time then I had to do that all again after that I finish I was so releff to be finished but a leas we got ice cream after this we got back no ice cream! 

We sat down on the mat and koka pip said we get ice cream at lunch one hour and forty minutes then we had to wait another fifteen minutes then we got an ice cream I got two and gave one to my friend the ice cream was great it was vanilla and raspberry after that we sat down then went home

I glad that cross-cuntry was over and the ice cream was great it was a fun day today.   

This week I learned

 This week I learned value of decimal numbers, which is a math language, its a different way to do math and other math problems. Me and other classmates did  a workshop with Koka Pip who taught us this math language and at the first workshop and I did not get it at all, until the next time we did it, then it just clicked 'wooow' I get it and it's a awesome way to do math.

The next thing I learned this week was code cracking a 15 minute workshop with Koka Pip to learn about different stuff that we just need to learn more about. So what I learned was something I already knew, but I learned more about it, which is compound words.  Compound words are when two words smash together like outside, out and side but together. Koka Pip then played a game which  we clap once if its one word twice if it is two words and I was on the right and the other team was on the left and my team lost by a lot and there was lots of different words, it was a fun group we had lots of fun.=

This week I learned compound words and decimal numbers and they were all awesome groups and lots of fun to do.     

What I Learned this week

 This week I learned about the olpiky and that it comes ever 4 year from groups  and there lot's of sport then I thought. I learned what the ring's mean from the book were doing about the olympics like the were the olympics is being holded and that there mascots and fact about the olympics.

 While doing the book on olympics i learned a  bit of colcher and that there's a thing called 7 rugby were there Seven player not 15 and diffen sport like Artis swimming AlPine skiing they seem hard and fun the olympics book is realy and wacht and learning fact about the olympics olympics is great.            

What I learned this week

What I learned this week  that writing structure and that rugby tackle is fun to play with lot's of people and I hurt getting from what I sore I'm cida good running thru every one.  

Maths Whizz  I got all four gems in a day And learnt more about clocks and divens and had lot of fun.

What I learned this week

This week was action week enviro action week and me and six other people stayed behind to do the gardens in our school while the rest of moana learning hub my class  went to the beach and around the street picking up garbage that there lots more rubbish then I  thought down at the beach so this what I  learned this week that combination of compost cardboard and seaweed left for a week spells awful and that there thing like golden beetroot and that we did lot more plating when the teacher got back because we kind of mess around but we still got it finish.    

I learned  Having a robot would be cool because I could play with it the dogs could and use it to clean to and  I got that from one of my quick writes and quiet tables in my class is a thing and patterns  and that ruby training it mite be hard. 

     

What I learned this week

 

 

Why do things float? I know that things float because the weight force is balanced by an upwards push of water. I searched this for one of my Quickwrite tasks.

Within LTP (learning through play) this week we explored a new process called wood burning drawing. You use a special tool to burn pictures or shapes or words into driftwood that we got from the beach. We can also draw natural things on paper is easily ripped, I drew trees and bushes with clouds raining little raindrops.

                  

What I learned this week

 What I learned is tsname like how fast they go and that I love math and that penguins are a clube 

What I learnt this week

 I learnt how to build a lightsaber and sevens times table and that having a lightsaber battle is so fun and that lightsaber can Jam 

What I learned this week

 What I learned this week, is that Penguins are in a lot in danger.  We also learned that stoats live where they are and eat the eggs and that their nests are very precious.   We played a game and had to waddle across the court over lines and past stoats to go to the sea to get fish for our baby penguins.  

From playing this game I learned how to waddle better and that there's highways, stoats and sharks where the penguins are living and this is killing the baby penguins and the adult penguins.  

Camp K

   Camp K was so fun and such a great a asmermint and my favorite thing were swimming eating and walking

Cook's cove walk

 Thursday morning were waiting for the bell to ring 5 minute later it rang when the teacher was saying what groups I got there people  going into my dad's car we start up then were on the road again with two people be very annoying all the way then we finally get there with every waiting there for us because we had go the loo first then koka nira put us in walking groups I was with one person I could talk to that was jackson m we start going up sing file we walk up stairs it was tiring but there was shade so that help then the top I could see the light we made it but I new some there was more coming more walking so we stop talk about the statue up there it was called the statue of light

We ceped on moving on the organ trail we walk and walk for agis then we made to a fence that we went over yay a two second rest then we made it to another fence another two second  rest  we walk until we found a stone path we walk down then there was a look out I sore a water the ocean but that was only half of it so we walk down stair it was like a bush walk we went a bit more down uitle we stop to talk on the bush next to me there was a spider web but in was in a round ball shape we walk on the bring then off the bring then we were here out of the bushes then we had to wait because every boy had to go to the loo then we cared on this organ trail walk then we got to the spot captain cook stopped to dock the ship so we had a feed here we cam pack we walk all the way back up the stairs up the hill down the hill  down the stairs then back we talk for a little while then we hoped back in the car then back to school. I love doing but the stairs

Back to school

 Back to school first day back and i'm nervous but it was good when I saw Troy  then saw my friend jonden then we learn about watian day then we walk to humatna to wa stream then we went up motorola then to day were going to a mathid

Friend B-day

 On the weekend I went with my friend and his friend up to Hawkes Bay while on the way we listed to some song and we had to stop because my friend spewed out the window  around two hours we arrived in napier.

  It was ten minute drive from napier into hawkes bay then we went to Splash plant I lot's of fun and I went on ever slide there and we went on the lazy river we were there for four hours. We went to our motle and look around it look good I had a king bed but I had to share it with someone half hour later we went to this all to eat place. The first thing I had was pancakes they made them for you fresh after that I had some chips then I was full but there there was chicken and ice cream so I had a little .

Then we went back to the motle and then we watch some tv then went to sleep in the morning we got drees wacht venom while my friends mum cook breakfast it was bacon and pancakes then after that we went to flip out  we bounce on trabs for an hour then we played lazer tag I came 2 to last then we went back to gisborne I had a great time and it was so fun at splash planet and flip out.        

kapa haka 2020

  

Today its kapa haka. No! Today we had get to school at Eight o'clock when I got there I had to go to the hall to get  a ta moko.  Well after that we hoped on a bus it was quite bumpy like the ground was shaking and then we went to kapa haka festival.

We were on stage,  I felt nervous but also prouder because we played loud and  it sound loud.  While we were  playing I saw my dad.  I was in second row, then we did the haka and we were strong and loud. As we were playing  it felt like the stage was moving.  

After that we sat down in front of the stage, then two schools later it was the little kids at our school preforming. Then we stood, up we all sang with the little kids.  

 We hopped on the bus after that and got back to school I felt happy Proud and hungry so I ate my lunch.  

Craft fair

 On the 13th of November  we got ready for the craft fair, a school  event  we have ever year at Wainui   Beach School. Every year we  have food fizz and drinks and bounce castle but this year we did't have evony shops  but It was still great me and my dad help set up table.

 A little while later all of the shop that the teacher do got set up and the bounce cattle to then it hit four a clock around five minutes past and lot's people were here. My dad gave me 20  dollar to spent I sore waffle yum they were out side   room 9 they smelt great and they let you put cholcel sauce on so I put a lot on it taste and felt soft so good  then I sore they had another thing going called the lucky dip something like that so it was  five dollar for one  pick so how it work is there is present in a  box we lots of cut up paper then you put your and pull it out I got a yoyo and nots and cross not the best then I spent the rest of on a ticket so I hoped on the bouncy castle.

  I just stayed on it for like ten minutes then my sister came so I came with her to the waffle  because she wanted me to so I did then herd  my friend Troy and Jandre we played on the bonce castle the we did wona thos ball games with my sister then my other friend raff came and we played and game of the ball game then he went home and troy and Jandere then me and my sister  and dad went home.

 after that I felt tied  I loved the craft fair cant wait for next year

ATHLETICS DAY

 It was Tuesday morning.  I walked past the big tree in the front and saw people with paint on their face and I thought,  what's on today? 

I walked into school and saw the tents over by the big field and then I  realised - it’s ATHLETICS DAY!!!!!

Ball throw was the first thing we did. I was not good  at it because I forgot that it's not where it's role it's where it hits. Long jump was fun.  I didn’t do too well at that, then we went to sprints.  BANG!!!! as the blocks smacked together.  I ran as fast as I could. Third  to last :( Better than last year!!:-) 

We went to high jump next and we got a choice to sit out or to jump so I sat out. Ten minutes later we went to spirits and we did the 200m sprint. I was in the 3rd race and while I was watching a kid that was gonna win but someone tripped him up so he came last then it was my turn BANG!!! I ran and ran but I still but I still came last.

After that I was so glad it was over and I gould get a hot dog and ice cream

Pihitia Station

 Today we went to Pihitia Station  and we learnt about what people do at a farm, First we got interested to the people that work there and then we split  into a class group then we went to  different farm station the first stashin my class went to was the shearing shed and a man talk for a little wile then a sheep came out and he sheer.

 Then we went to another stashin and the next stashin we went was to was a stashin were we lert bird noses and traps what I lert at this stashind was there a trap that sprays out poison  and lot's of bird noise then we went to a station that had a cow and there a lade milk a cow and another lady told us about what milk can make like whip cream  and other stuff and at the end we got a jar of milk and we shaked it and then it changed into whip cream the butter. The next stashind we went to we learnt about meat and were tips of meat comes form and another thing we lert was that left over meat on bones go in a mishen and gets changs into sasges then we  tashind and a man told as about farm vehicles and I lert that they use utes on a farm then after that we learnt about farm dogs and I learnt a dog will do something if you just whistle.
